Here's To Teamwork

We are blessed to have nature surrounding our garden, and in one part we leave nuts out for the squirrels and in another, food for the birds. We delight in watching them. Tim noticed that the squirrels fight whenever we put fresh nuts out, and he commented on how powerful they could be if they pulled together.

Teamwork threads our days together.

The phone rang with a vulnerable voice asking if I could help. The family had also approached a funeral director who was new to them and me, and we all started to weave together. Unexpectedly, the service was brought forward a week, and loving teamwork flowed. As the final details were organised, we all commented that the messages were full of hearts. Professional yet so loving, and my goodness, what a difference that has made.

Illness and personal challenges within a few teams under the same business umbrella, but based at different locations, have highlighted how everyone pulls together. All the messages are full of hearts.

A chapel attendant at one of the crematoriums takes the time to choose instrumental pieces from the music chosen by loved ones for each service, and this plays quietly while everyone is gathering.

I hear so many stories of loving teamwork within families and communities and I am grateful these are the backdrop to my days.

The nights are drawing in as we head into winter in the northern hemisphere, and each time I have an evening meeting, Tim cooks for us. My heart lifts as I feel the warmth from home.
